(ITA) IL 40° RALLY DI CASCIANA TERME ATTENDE I PROTAGONISTI DELLA VI ZONA

Ci sarà tempo sino al 24 agosto, per iscriversi alla gara, che sarà il penultimo appuntamento della Coppa di VI zona, annunciando quindi sfide accese e spettacolari.

Il confronto si svolgerà in due giorni, caratterizzato da tre prove speciali diverse, prese dalla tradizione del rally, che quest’anno torna ad una importante validità ufficiale.

E’ nel pieno del periodo delle iscrizioni, il 40° Rally di Casciana Terme, il termine ultimo per presentare la propria domanda di adesione si allungherà sino a mercoledì 24 agosto.

Otto giorni rimangono, dunque, per gettare il classico guanto di sfida per il 3-4 settembre, quando si darà il via alle sfide.

Il “Casciana” come affettuosamente lo chiamano i rallisti ed anche gli appassionati, delle gare più longeve in Toscana e non solo, in programma subito dopo le ferie, organizzato da Laserprom 015 e Jolly Racing Team in collaborazione con il Comune di Casciana Terme e con le Terme di Casciana, quest’anno raggiunge l’importante traguardo dell’essere stata di nuovo inserita nella Coppa Rally di VI zona, della quale è la penultima prova stagionale.

Un ritorno importante, per questa gara ricca di tradizione e che guarda lontano, tornando a proporre un percorso  di elevato livello, caratterizzato da tre distinte prove speciali, una delle quali sarà ripetuta tre volte e le altre per due occasioni.

Prove Speciali riprese dal passato, certamente in grado di dare forti stimoli a chi vi correrà.

Oltre alle validità ufficiali, sia della Coppa Aci Sport di VI zona e del Campionato Regionale, la gara sarà valida per il Trofeo Peugeot Rally Regional Club, per il Trofeo Pirelli Accademia, per la Michelin Zone Rally Cup per l’R-Italian Trophy e per il Premio Rally Aci Lucca.

ATTESI I “NOMI” DELLA VI ZONA

Dopo cinque appuntamenti, la stagione avviata a marzo con il Rally del Ciocco vede al comando il blasonato parmense Roberto Vescovi, che quest’ano ha deciso per la non facile “Campagna toscana”, un campionato sempre molto difficile visto l’elevato livello dei rallisti regionali.

Alla guida della sua Skoda Fabia, ha cinque punti di vantaggio sul valdinievolino Fabio Pinelli, tornato quest’anno in piena attività, anche sulla Skoda Fabia, che ha alternato alla Hyundai i20.

Di sicuro loro due ci saranno, a movimentare la scena, difficile invece ci sia il trevigiano Marco Signor, attualmente terzo, che ha preso punti in campionato per via della sua partecipazione al Rallye Elba, che era valido per il “tricolore” asfalto, il suo campionato di riferimento per la stagione.

E come lui sarà difficile vedere anche gli altri tre occupanti delle posizioni che seguono, vale a dire il biellese Pinzano e gli emiliani Ferrarotti e Bonini (anche loro a punti giocoforza sia all’Elba che al Ciocco), seguiti dall’elbano Andrea Volpi e dal pistoiese Federico Gasperetti, che non è escluso siano invece della partita.

Come della partita conta di esserci il pisano di Pomarance Carlo Alberto Senigagliesi, per ben cinque volte a segno nella gara, in cerca di riscatto da un Rally di Reggello a giugno scorso non soddisfacente.

Si attende poi il ritorno, da capire con quale vettura,  del maremmano Alessio Santini, il vincitore del 2021, è annunciato l’aretino Daniele Segantini (Skoda) e, per il Campionato Regionale, è invece probabile la presenza del lucchese Luca Panzani (Skoda), recente secondo assoluto a Lucca ed attuale capoclassifica con 46 punti, grazie anche alla performance offerta a Reggello con una Clio S1600.

Proprio in chiave di Trofeo Rally Toscano, non è escluso quindi di vedere Volpi, che in classifica è secondo e sicuramente marcherà presenza il terzo, l’inossidabile lucchese Enzo Oliani, con la Fiat Seicento.

Anche il fiorentino Leonardo Santoni, già brillante terzo assoluto lo scorso anno, ha in progetto di essere al via, come sicuramente ci sarà il gentleman Pierluigi Della Maggiora (Skoda), che ha voglia di riprendere terreno perduto nella classifica “over 55”, andando quindi a duellare con il massese Giorgio Sgadò (Skoda).

Ci saranno poi i varii trofei promozionali, a dare ulteriore linfa alle sfide, che con un percorso di elevato livello tecnico produrranno certamente una gara ricca di contenuti.

LE PROVE SPECIALI “STORICHE”

Gratificati dai consensi ottenuti nei due anni addietro, gli organizzatori hanno deciso di proporre la corta prova “Casciana Terme” di Km 5,500, che aprirà la sfida nella serata di sabato 3 settembre e poi ripetuta altre due volte alla domenica, oltre alla più impegnativa “Montevaso” di Km 12,890 in conformazione classica e la riproposta prova di “Miemo”, la più lunga del rally (Km 13,080), che rispecchia la versione vista nel 2019. In totale la gara conta 248,600 chilometri, dei quali 68,440 di distanza competitiva.

IL PROGRAMMA

Torneranno le verifiche tecniche nella centrale Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi (sede anche di partenza ed arrivo) mentre le verifiche sportive e la consegna Road Book saranno allo Chalet delle Terme.

Il via alle sfide sarà dalle ore 21,31 di sabato 3 settembre per poi far disputare la “piesse” di Casciana con il fascino immutato dell’oscurità e dei fari supplementari che tagliano il buio, per poi far entrare i concorrenti nel riordinamento notturno di Casciana (dalle ore 22,15) in Piazza Martiri della Libertà.

L’indomani, domenica 4 settembre, la spina dorsale della competizione, con uscita dal riordinamento notturno dalle ore 09,00 ed arrivo finale, sempre in Piazza Garibaldi a Casciana Terme, dalle 16,35.

Il riordinamento di metà giornata sarà nell’area antistante la Conad di Capannoli.

Sono previsti due “parchi assistenza”, a Peccioli.

There will be time until the 24th of August to register for the race, which will be the penultimate round of the VI Zone Cup, thus announcing fierce and spectacular challenges.

The confrontation will take place over two days, featuring three different special stages, taken from the tradition of the rally, which this year returns to an important official validity.

The 40th Rally of Casciana Terme is in the middle of the registration period.

The deadline for submitting entries will be extended until Wednesday 24 August.

Eight days remain, therefore, to lay down the classic gauntlet for 3-4 September, when the challenges will kick off.

The “Casciana” as rallyists and fans affectionately call it, one of the longest-running races in Tuscany and beyond, scheduled immediately after the holidays, organised by Laserprom 015 and Jolly Racing Team in collaboration with the Municipality of Casciana Terme and the Terme di Casciana, this year reaches the important milestone of being once again included in the VI Zone Rally Cup, of which it is the penultimate round of the season.

An important return, for this race rich in tradition and that looks far ahead, returning to offer a high-level route, characterised by three separate special stages, one of which will be repeated three times and the others on two occasions.

Special Stages taken from the past, certainly able to give strong stimuli to those who will race there.

In addition to the official validity of both the Aci Sport VI Zone Cup and the Regional Championship, the race will be valid for the Peugeot Rally Regional Club Trophy, the Pirelli Accademia Trophy, the Michelin Zone Rally Cup, the R-Italian Trophy and the Aci Lucca Rally Prize.

VI ZONE “NAMES” EXPECTED

After five rounds, the season that started in March with the Rally del Ciocco sees at the helm the blazoned Roberto Vescovi from Parma, who this year decided for the not easy “Campagna toscana”, a very difficult championship given the high level of regional rallyists.

At the wheel of his Skoda Fabia, he has a five-point advantage over Fabio Pinelli from Valdinievole, who is back in full swing this year, also on the Skoda Fabia, which he has alternated with the Hyundai i20.

The two of them will certainly be there, to liven up the scene, while it will be difficult to see Marco Signor from Treviso, currently third, who has taken championship points due to his participation in the Rallye Elba, which was valid for the asphalt “tricolour”, his championship of reference for the season.

And like him, it will be difficult to see the other three occupants of the following positions, namely Pinzano from Biella and the Emilian Ferrarotti and Bonini (also on points at both Elba and Ciocco), followed by Andrea Volpi from Elba and Federico Gasperetti from Pistoia, who is not excluded from being in the game.

The Pisan from Pomarance, Carlo Alberto Senigagliesi, who has scored five times in the race and is looking for redemption from an unsatisfactory Reggello Rally last June, is also expected to be in the match.

It is then expected the return, to be figured out with which car, of Alessio Santini from Maremma, the winner of 2021, it is announced the Aretine Daniele Segantini (Skoda) and, for the Regional Championship, it is also likely the presence of Luca Panzani from Lucca (Skoda), recently second overall in Lucca and current leader of the standings with 46 points, thanks to the performance shown in Reggello with a Clio S1600.

In terms of the Tuscan Rally Trophy, it is therefore not out of the question to see Volpi, who is second in the standings and will certainly mark the presence of the third, the stainless Lucchese Enzo Oliani, in a Fiat Seicento.

The Florentine Leonardo Santoni, already a brilliant third overall last year, is also planning to be at the start, as will certainly be the gentleman Pierluigi Della Maggiora (Skoda), who wants to regain lost ground in the “over 55” classification, thus going to duel with the Massa-based Giorgio Sgadò (Skoda).

Then there will be the various promotional trophies, to give further life to the challenges, which with a route of high technical level will certainly produce a race rich in content.

THE ‘HISTORIC’ SPECIAL STAGES

Gratified by the consensus obtained in the two previous years, the organisers have decided to propose the short “Casciana Terme” stage of 5.500 km, which will open the challenge on the evening of Saturday 3 September and then it will be repeated twice more on Sunday, in addition to the more challenging “Montevaso” of 12.890 km in classic conformation and the reproposed “Miemo” stage, the longest of the rally (13.080 km), which mirrors the version seen in 2019. In total, the race counts 248.600 kilometres, of which 68.440 of competitive distance.

THE PROGRAMME

Technical scrutineering will return to the central Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi (also home of the start and finish) while sports scrutineering and road book delivery will be at the Chalet delle Terme.

The start of the challenges will be at 21.31 on Saturday 3 September, followed by the Casciana special stage with the unchanged charm of the darkness and the additional headlights cutting through the gloom, and then the competitors will enter the Casciana night regroupment (from 22.15) in Piazza Martiri della Libertà.

The following day, Sunday 4 September, is the backbone of the competition, with exit from the night regroupment from 09.00 and the final arrival, again in Piazza Garibaldi in Casciana Terme, from 16.35.

The mid-day regrouping will be in the area in front of the Conad di Capannoli.

Two ‘service parks’ are planned, in Peccioli.
